We believe the Bible is the only authority to follow for salvation. We have no man-written creed or manual by which we are saved.
Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12
We also believe, as the Scriptures teach, that:
Our elders (also called bishops or pastors according to Scripture) are appointed to serve as overseers in the church. Their duties are to watch over and nurture the spiritual lives of the members at this local congregation (Hebrews 13:17).
This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop,he desires a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; 3 not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; 4 one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence 5 (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); 6 not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. 7 Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. 1 Timothy 3

Do you not know that those who minister the holy things eat of the things of the temple, and those who serve at the altar partake of the offerings of the altar? 14 Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel. 1 Corinthians 9
